Cookie Policy

What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files that a website stores on your device when you visit. They are widely used to make sites work, remember your preferences, or keep you logged in. This policy describes how Experiment OS uses cookies and similar technologies.

Experiment OS is operated by Another Web is Possible(opens in new window) (AWIP), a UK-based company.

What cookies we use

We use only cookies that are necessary for the service to work or to remember your preferences. We do not use marketing cookies, advertising cookies, or any form of tracking for third-party advertising.

  • Authentication and session cookies: When you sign in, our identity provider (Supabase) sets cookies so you stay logged in and your session is secure. These are essential for the service. They typically expire when you close your browser or sign out.
  • Preference cookies: If you belong to more than one organisation, we store which organisation you last selected (e.g. active_org) so we can show the right context when you return. This is a convenience cookie; the service works without it, but you may need to select your organisation again.
  • Technical cookies: During sign-in flows (e.g. OAuth or password reset), we may set short-lived cookies (such as a code verifier) that are required for security. These are deleted automatically when the flow completes or expires.

We do not use cookies for analytics. Our analytics (Vercel Analytics) is cookieless and does not identify you. See the Analytics section below.

Analytics (no cookies)

We use Vercel Analytics to understand how our product is used (e.g. page views, performance). It does not use cookies and does not collect personal data. The data is anonymised and cannot be used to identify you. We do not use Google Analytics or other cookie-based analytics on Experiment OS.

How to control cookies

You can change your browser settings to block or delete cookies. If you block or delete the cookies we use for authentication, you will not be able to stay logged in to Experiment OS. Blocking preference or technical cookies may affect how the service behaves (e.g. you may need to re-select your organisation).

Because we use only essential and preference cookies, we do not offer a cookie consent banner that lets you “accept” or “reject” categories of non-essential cookies. We do not use such cookies. Our cookie notice simply informs you that we use essential cookies and links to this policy and our Privacy Policy.

Updates

We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time. We will post the updated policy on this page and change the “Last updated” date. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
