ICE score calculator
Score experiment ideas with ICE (Impact, Confidence, Ease), rank them, and export to CSV. Same idea as PIE, different factors. In Experiment OS we use PIG; both map to how we think about prioritisation. PIE vs ICE vs PXL.

How ICE works
ICE helps you compare test ideas when you have more than you can run. Impact = upside. Confidence = how likely it works. Ease = effort to run. It’s a close cousin to PIE(Potential, Importance, Ease) and to our PIG (Potential, Insight, Graft) in Experiment OS. Same concept, different labels. Use whichever your team knows. This calculator uses ICE.
- List each experiment or test idea in the first column.
- Score Impact (1–10): how much will it move the needle if it works?
- Score Confidence (1–10): how sure are you it will work?
- Score Ease (1–10): how easy to implement and run?
- ICE score = (Impact + Confidence + Ease) / 3. Higher = prioritise first.
- Export to CSV to share or import elsewhere. Then track the ones you run in Experiment OS.

Track your prioritised experiments in Experiment OS
In Experiment OS we use PIG (Potential, Insight, Graft): same concept as ICE and PIE, different factor names. Add hypotheses, score them, and run them through the full cycle: research, experiment, analysis, decision.
